Twelve roles checked · eight ready to send
The shortlist, the letters, and the honest answers.
Everything on this page was checked against the employer's own posting on 27 October 2026. Salaries are quoted as posted — where a number wasn't published, it says so. Nothing in your resume or letters claims experience you don't have.
Do these three first
Before you send anything
- Read the letter out loud once. If a sentence doesn't sound like you, change it.
- Confirm your salary floor. The county role is posted at $58,000 — that's a real number you can anchor on.
- Pick one email address and one phone number and use them everywhere.
Your files
Every role card has its own resume and letter in PDF and Word. This is the general version, if a posting doesn't have a pack yet.

Interview prep
Five stories you already own, a script for the awkward questions, and the things we agreed you won't claim.
What to say when they ask about 2021–2026
“I moved into the family real estate business in 2021 and ran the transaction side: contracts, disclosure documents, DocuSign packets, deadlines, and all the coordination with buyers, sellers and vendors. It's a small portfolio, so I did the work myself rather than managing a team. It taught me to keep a file complete and to follow up until something is actually finished — which is why I'm looking for a structured operations role now.”
Keep it to that. Don't apologise for it and don't call it a gap.
What to say when they ask why you're leaving
“The business is small and I've taken it as far as it goes. I want a role with a defined process, benefits, and people to learn from.”
True, short, and it doesn't invite follow-up questions.
Five stories, structured
The bones are real. Fill in the specifics you remember before an interview — a date, a unit, a name — because detail is what makes a story land.
Never claim these
Questions worth asking them
About the work
- What does a good week look like in this role?
- What usually goes wrong, and how does the team find out?
- Which systems would I be in every day, and how long does it take to get comfortable?
- Who reviews my work in the first three months?
About the deal
- Is the salary range in the posting the full range for this level?
- What are the hours, and is there an on-call rotation?
- When would you want someone to start?
- What happened to the last person in this role?
Tracker
Ticks save in this browser only — nothing is sent anywhere. Add the date you applied and any confirmation number.
Follow up once, seven days after applying. One short paragraph: role, date applied, still interested, happy to answer anything.
Employers to keep checking
Roles that fit you appear at these employers regularly. Ten minutes on Monday, and apply within 48 hours of anything new — that's how you get ahead of the queue.
Weekly routine
- Monday, 10 minutes. Open each employer link below and search the suggested terms.
- Anything posted in the last 7 days? Apply the same day with the nearest pack, adjusting the summary paragraph.
- Friday, 10 minutes. Update the tracker, send any follow-ups, and note what got a reply.
- Two applications a week beats ten a month. A tailored letter and a one-page resume get read; a volume blast doesn't.
